We Discovered this story of the Eureka flag whilst visiting Australia the Eureka flag was developed in the early gold rush days of Australian history when the miners of the time rose up against the government of the day in what was known as the Eureka Stockade the flag has five stars that represents the southern Cross star constellation visible in the southern hemisphere every night. The stars also appear on the Australian national flag. today the flag is a symbol of resistance in Australia and it’s still widely flown over gold, opal & gem fields throughout Australia but looks much better with Lucy wrapped in it ..
